I have worked with @CleisPress for 15 years. 15 years! Cleis Press is made up of a small yet amazing group of people who are dedicated to publishing LGBT, queer, trans, sex-positive, erotic, feminist, empowering books. In those years, I’ve published 23 books with them, and I am working on two new ones for 2011. In this day and age of the disappearance of local bookstores, the struggles of small presses, and the lack of places for queer people to publish their work, it’s more important than ever to SUPPORT QUEER AND FEMINIST PUBLISHERS. Buying Cleis Press books supports the publisher and the authors who write for them. Buying directly from the publisher means they have more capital to publish more LGBT, queer, trans, sex-positive, erotic, feminist, empowering books. I probably don’t need to tell you that things are tough in the world of publishing, and small presses can use all the help they can get. They’re having a sale through the end of the year, so take advantage of the savings! Here are the details:
We would like to extend a special invitation to Cleis Press & Viva Editions friends, family and colleagues to take advantage of our 2010 Gratitude and Giving holiday special. This is our way of saying we’re incredibly grateful for your enthusiasm, talent and support!
